Here’s our local favourite spots
The Beaches
There are several beaches lining the beautiful foreshore including Goftons, Eastmans, Croquet Lawn, Mattingleys, Old Pier, Mermaids, Shelly and Adams – the beaches are sandy lined and each framed by the rocky outcrops of Devonian granite. You’ll find small little nooks through to long sandy beaches. Take your fur baby for a run at Adams beach off leash area or explore the walking track that runs along the foreshore meeting up with the playground, skate park and BBQs, picnic tables and benches for your enjoyment.
You might even like to try a little kayaking, paddle boarding, yoga or pilates along the way!
Sandboarding
For those who love 4-wheel-driving and sandboarding, there’s endless sandunes where you will find motorbike and buggy enthusiasts on a regular basis, stay safe out there!
Fishing off the rocks
For the hunters and gatherers, given Bridport is known as the seaside fishing village we thought we would share a great spot on the rocks, just a short stroll down to the closest beach known as Croquet Lawn.
Where to get a feed
Why not grab some fish and chips or take the picnic basket provided, and head down the beach for a picnic … make a day of it!
